Please be careful...
Posted: January 11, 2012

Please be careful when burning leaves near plastic culverts.  They will catch fire and they will burn underneath the road and the road can collapse as the next car attempts to travel past.  This would ruin someone's day and you might be held liable for the accident and the new culvert plus labor.  Thank you, Judge Burgess

BURN BAS HAS BEEN LIFTED
Posted: November 16, 2011

The burn ban has been lifted due to a change in weather conditions.  However, conditions are not optimal for outside burning, please use extreme caution and do not burn during high winds.

This burn ban could be reinstated at any time - please check back often.  Thank you.

ATTENTION MILLER COUNTY RESIDENTS
Posted: November 02, 2011

ATTENTION MILLER COUNTY RESIDENTS:

Of all the county courthouses I’ve been to in Arkansas, and I’ve been to a bunch, I have noticed we are the only one who has very little in the way of history adorning our walls.  I have started a project to restore and display our history.  I need your help.

If you have pictures of former county judges that we can reproduce, or any interesting articles or items, or have some time you could give for research, we would greatly appreciate it.  I also would like to make a time line showing Miller County’s historical facts through the years on one of our walls.

Our history is our own and is important to present and future generations.

Thanks,

Judge Larry Burgess
